Here’s everything you need to know before you attend!
Will I need any craft knowledge or tools to do this design?
No. I promise. Your instructor will help and guide you along the way and provide all the tools you need. Your kit purchase includes everything you need. You will leave the party with your item. Our #1 goal is to have you leave with an item you love and are proud of.
How long will the party take and will I leave with my finished item?
Most parties take 2-3 hours and you will leave with your item.
Can I choose my colors or customize my item?
Yes, most items are customizable and we ask that you include your color preference and/or customization in your NOTES section when paying through our secure link OR if paying your host please give her that info to give to us. You can view all of our designs at www.lumbernlace.com/ diy-parties
How does the payment work? When do I pay?
The payments arrangements are chosen by the host of the party. The host can collect the payments OR we can give you a link to a secure shop where your guests can purchase their kit at their convenience. All payments must be made 10 days prior to the party. Many of our parties have a maximum amount of guests and fill up quickly so it’s best to get your payment in quickly.
What should I wear to the party?
Aprons will be provided. We suggest wearing something you could get paint on or turning your top inside out at the time of the party. (I do this all the time when I paint and it works great!)
What if I have to cancel right before the party?
All party kit purchases are final and non-refundable within 10 days of the party. The main reason is that most of the designs are custom and can't be reused. I understand that things come up and I really try to work with people. I ask that people contact me and we can do our best to work something out. Current options are:
1. I will let your guest transfer their paint kit to another painter (who hasn't paid) attending your party IF there is enough time (usually 1 week prior) for me to customize it again.
2. The person who canceled also has the option of having another painter (usually a friend) or the host make their kit for them. Not as fun as attending the party but a popular option and they still get their finished item.
3. If the paint design comes in a 'to-go' version your guest will be responsible for contacting me to get a kit at a later date.
If the host cancels the party within 10 days of the party date we will offer her guests a to-go option or the host can reschedule. If the paid guest doesn't wish to take a to-go kit or make it to the rescheduled party the host is responsible for the cost of the project for that paid guest.
If LUMBER N LACE LLC cancels the event you will receive a full refund.
LUMBER N LACE LLC is not liable for any injuries or damage done to any person, property, or object. We practice safety at all times. By purchasing your project you are agreeing to the terms above.
**Everyone painting must sign a liability release form before party**
